Open Quote This is quite possibly one of the most political schools in the central valley. Many of the teachers lack in subject matter understanding and there are only one or two that have the capacity to make a positive impact. The administration is more interested in public appearance than quality education. Their brightest students do not pass many AP courses even though they have 4.8 GPA's. The rare student that does manage to attend a prestigious college after graduation attributes his/her success to their own upbringing and influences outside of Central Catholic High School. Finally, the social situation is unfortunate. If the student did not attend a feeder elementary school, their chances of making friends, integrating, and feeling accepted by their peers is slim to none. This school does an excellent job of marketing themselves as a "WE" school based on family values, but the reality is that it instills the very opposite. If you're interested in educating your student in the Catholic faith, the religion teachers do not have to have credentials and frankly, end up accidentally pushing students away from the faith due to their utter lack in competence. It is better to attend a public school that is poor in ranking than to attend a private one that will cost you much more. Close Quote
