Open Quote This is where going to school is cool. This school cares about the child by name not by a # or a test score. with less than 90 Students per year this school provides the attention your child needs to survive, no scratch that, what they need to thrive. if you like dropping your kids off, & picking them up without the hassle of getting to know the other parents in the class room then dont go here. If you like the school to be just 8-3 and nothing else, nope not here. this school believes in having fun after hgours with the whole family. family movies nights under the stars( and yes you can see THOUSANDS of them from here), family taco and talent show night, Friday "PIe" day(was held on 3/14. Get it? the formula for PI) LOL. there isw just sooo much to do during the week and concerts or clean ups or something going on during most weekends. Never a DULL month aat Summit. You and your kids will become a family again not just a group of people living together. Just look at it this way... If a school out in the middle of the sticks can survive for over 100 years(this year is 101) the they must be doing something right. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
