Avondale Elementary serves 291 students in kindergarten through grade 5 in Spring Valley, within the La Mesa-Spring Valley district. In 2025–2026, its English language arts (ELA), math, and science proficiency rates were 36%, 32%, and 27%, respectively. The most important takeaway is that Avondale’s results were below both state and district rates in all three subjects, even though it compared well with nearby schools in science and math.
