Junction Elementary serves 416 students in grades K–8 in Palo Cedro, a community in Shasta County. In 2025–2026, its all-grades test results were above California’s in English language arts (ELA), math and science, but that overall strength masks an important concern: sixth graders scored below the state in both ELA and math, making grade six the clearest weak spot.

Compared with nearby K–8 schools, Junction placed second in ELA and math and first in science. Its proficiency rates were 55% in ELA, 45% in math and 42% in science, compared with nearby-peer averages of 52%, 43% and 35%.
