Summary

Foulks Ranch Elementary is a K-6 public school serving 779 students in the Elk Grove Unified School District, ranking solidly above average statewide and showing consistent improvement in its academic standing.

The school performs well overall, with test scores that exceed both district and state averages, and it has made impressive strides in improving student attendance, cutting chronic absenteeism nearly in half over the past few years. It shows particular strength in supporting Hispanic students and students with special education needs. However, a review of its performance reveals some areas for growth, such as a noticeable drop in math proficiency in 5th grade and science scores that, while good, lag behind its own performance in English.

When compared to nearby schools, Foulks Ranch achieves strong results given the needs of its student population. It outperforms schools like John Ehrhardt Elementary and Elitha Donner Elementary, which serve students with higher economic needs. At the same time, it trails the highest-performing schools in the area, such as Zehnder Ranch Elementary and Stone Lake Elementary, which have lower rates of student poverty and absenteeism.

Open Quote Do not send your child her the first grade teacher talk to my child crazy. Calls her ugly ,stupid, tells her she’ll work at Walmart or McDonald’s. She took my child’s hair down without MY permission. My child says she pushed her and made her hurt her back.. her assistant is just as bad smile in your face and treat your child like trash behind your back, like my child wasn’t going to come and tell her parents everything.. so much more I can say about how horrible of a person the teacher is but I’ll be sitting for hours so I’ll just stop her just watch out because they’ll lie to over their butt Close Quote
