Summary

In Corning, California, Woodson Elementary serves 486 students in grades K–6. In 2025–2026, its proficiency rates were higher than the reported rates for Corning Union Elementary in all three tested subjects, though still below California’s. Results have improved over the years shown, but Woodson’s most important challenge remains that it trails the state in ELA, math and science.

Compared with nearby K–6 schools, Woodson’s clearest strengths are math and science: it had the highest results among Olive View Elementary and West Street Elementary in both subjects. One notably stronger group ranking is Special Education Students: SchoolDigger placed them at the 40th percentile in 2025–2026, compared with 23rd percentile overall, down from 51st the year before.
