Summary

Gateway High (Continuation) is a 215-student school serving grades 9–12 in Clovis, in Clovis Unified. In 2025–26, 32% of students were proficient in English language arts (ELA), 4% in math and 11% in science, below both the district and California in every subject; chronic absenteeism was 72%, compared with 18% statewide and 13% districtwide. The most important concern is that very low achievement across subjects coincides with exceptionally high chronic absenteeism.

SchoolDigger’s ranking for how well Gateway serves Special Education Students rose sharply, from the 12th percentile in 2022–23 to the 77th in 2024–25, compared with the school’s overall 17th percentile that year.
