Marshall Elementary is a K–5 school with 515 students in Castro Valley, part of Castro Valley Unified. Its 2025–2026 proficiency rates were above California’s in English language arts (ELA), mathematics, and science, but that statewide advantage does not make it a local leader: compared with nearby same-district elementary schools, it ranked sixth of seven in ELA and fifth of seven in math and science.

Mathematics is the school’s strongest result relative to its district, while science is its weakest comparison with local peers.
