Open Quote I moved to Burbank because of tales about burbank schools. So now my son is attending Joaquin Miller Elementary school. He is In Kindergarten. from the beginning I was very exited about school and about my son's teacher. But when I noticed she is getting more attention those kids whose mothers are volunteering, or giving gifts It really made me crazy. So next year I am transferring my son to the private school.Hope my comment will help some parents before choosing the right school. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
