High Schools in Riverside Unified

Summary:

The Riverside Unified School District includes ten high schools serving grades 9-12, ranging from large comprehensive campuses to specialized continuation and special education programs, with a strong overall record of graduating students.

Academic performance varies significantly across the district. The standout is Riverside STEM Academy, which ranks among the very best schools in the state with exceptional test scores. Among traditional high schools, Martin Luther King Junior High and Polytechnic High show the strongest results, while Ramona High and John W. North High have much lower test proficiency, particularly in math, despite having high graduation rates.

The district's two continuation schools, Abraham Lincoln Continuation and Raincross High (Continuation), face considerable challenges with very low test scores and high chronic absenteeism, though they still graduate most of their students. Overall, the district graduates students at a rate well above the state average, but its average test scores in math and science are slightly below the state average.
