Summary:
The elementary-school list in EPIC Academy District contains one school, EPIC Academy, serving kindergarten through grade 8 and enrolling 1,025 students. Most importantly, its 2025–26 all-grades proficiency results were above California’s in all three tested subjects: 74% in English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) versus 49% statewide, 68% in math versus 38%, and 63% in science versus 36.
Since it is the only school listed, EPIC Academy is technically both the top- and bottom-performing school in the group; there is no school-to-school comparison. Against the state, the school’s largest advantage was in math, at 29 percentage points, followed by science at 27 points and ELA at 25 points. The above-state results also appear across the reported grade levels: grade 8 had the largest leads, at 36 points in ELA and 38 points in both math and science. Grade 5 had smaller leads in ELA and science, at 19 and 18 points.
Results declined from 2024–25 to 2025–26, even as the school stayed well above state levels: EPIC Academy fell 6 percentage points in ELA, 6 in math, and 5 in science, while California’s results rose in all three subjects. SchoolDigger’s rating also moved down from 5 stars and the 92nd percentile in 2024–25 to 4 stars and the 87th percentile in 2025–26; its rank shifted from 477 of 5,857 schools to 746 of 5,804. Other context includes a 25.7 student–teacher ratio in 2024–25, and 24% of students free/reduced lunch eligible in school year 2024–25. Chronic absenteeism was 9%, below the state’s 18%, in 2025–26.
