Summary:
The Vista Horizon Global Academy District has one school, Vista Horizon Global Academy, an elementary school serving grades K–5 with 154 students. In 2025–26, its all-grades proficiency was 25% in ELA, compared with 49% statewide, and 16% in science, compared with 36% statewide. The most important finding is the persistent ELA gap: the school was 24 percentage points below the state, while science was 20 points below.
There is no meaningful top or bottom among schools because this is the only school in the district. Math is the school’s clearest relative strength: 35% of students were proficient overall, just 3 points below the 38% state result. But performance differed considerably by grade. Third-grade math was 53%, 6 points above the state; fourth-grade math was 41%, 2 points below; and fifth-grade math was 16%, 21 points below. ELA was below state results in every tested grade, with the widest gap in fourth grade: 19% proficient at the school versus 46% statewide, a 27-point difference.
Math improved sharply year over year, rising from 19% in 2024–25 to 35% in 2025–26; its gap with the state narrowed by 16 percentage points. ELA edged down from 26% to 25%, and science rose from 15% to 16%, but both gaps widened as state results increased faster. Chronic absenteeism was lower than the state rate in 2025–26: 10% versus 18%, an 8-point difference. SchoolDigger gave the school one star and ranked it 4,190th of 5,804 (28th percentile) in 2025–26; its percentile rose from 16th in 2024–25 but remained below 35th in 2023–24. For context, in 2024–25 the school had a 22:1 student–teacher ratio, and 93% of students were free/reduced lunch eligible (FRL).
