Summary:
Warner Unified has one high school, Warner Junior/Senior High, serving grades 7–12 with 98 students. In 2025–26, the school’s all-grades proficiency was below California’s in every reported subject: 39% versus 49% in English language arts (ELA), 13% versus 38% in math, and 19% versus 36% in science. Math is the largest concern: proficiency was 26 points below the state.
Within this one school, 8th grade stands out as the strongest result, while 11th grade has the largest shortfalls; there are no other local schools to rank against it. Eighth-grade ELA was 53%, 4 points above the state, and science was 40%, 5 points above; 8th-grade math was 29%, 8 points below. In 11th grade, ELA was 40%, 17 points below the state, while math was 0%, 32 points below, and science was 0%, 38 points below. Seventh-grade ELA and math were also about 29 points below state results.
Results weakened from 2024–25 to 2025–26: Warner fell 5 points in ELA, 15 in math, and 3 in science, while statewide results rose in all three subjects. As a result, Warner’s gaps with the state widened by 6 points in ELA, 16 in math, and 6 in science. SchoolDigger placed the school at the 21st percentile with 1 star in 2025–26, down 24 percentile points from its 45th-percentile, 2-star rating in 2023–24; those rank years are not consecutive, and the ranking is distinct from test scores. Other measures offer a more mixed picture: the 2025–26 graduation rate was 91% versus 88% statewide, and chronic absenteeism was 5% versus 18%, while the dropout rate was 9% versus 8%. The 2024–25 student–teacher ratio was 12.5, and 71% of students were free/reduced lunch eligible that school year.
