Lucerne has one public school, Lucerne Elementary, serving 282 students in grades K–8. In 2025–2026, its all-grade proficiency was below California’s in every tested subject: 20% in English Language Arts (ELA) versus 49% statewide, 16% in math versus 38%, and 18% in science versus 36%.
