Summary:

Dinuba has 11 schools serving elementary, middle, high school and K–12 alternative students across Dinuba Unified and Kings Canyon Joint Unified. The 2025–26 all-grades school averages are below California’s in all three tested subjects: about 44% in ELA, 26% in math and 21% in science, compared with state results of 49%, 38% and 36%. The biggest overall shortfall is in science, while elementary schools’ average math result is much closer to the state figure.

There are strong results alongside very low ones, so the school-wide averages do not describe every family’s experience. Dinuba High leads ELA at 65%, 16 points above the state; Grand View Elementary leads math at 40%, 2 points above the state and the highest among elementary schools. Kings Canyon Continuation narrowly leads science at 30.4%, compared with 30.3% at elementary science leader Roosevelt Elementary. At the low end, Sierra Vista High (Continuation) has 8% in ELA and 0% in science, while Ronald Reagan Academy has 0% in math.

Two-year changes are mixed, and the pooled gains in ELA and science are driven largely by one school: averages across all 11 rose about 3 points in ELA and 5 in science, while math was essentially unchanged; Kings Canyon alone gained 37 points in ELA and 23 in science. Excluding it, the other schools’ average ELA result was nearly flat and science rose about 3 points. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile ranking also rose for Kings Canyon, from the 18th to the 42nd percentile, and for Washington Intermediate and Grand View, each up 14 percentile points. Other indicators offer useful context but do not line up neatly with test results: student–teacher ratios range from 9.6 to 26.2, and free/reduced lunch eligible figures for school year 2024–25 range from 74% to 94%. Dinuba High pairs a 97% graduation rate with 6% chronic absenteeism; Sierra Vista has a 95% graduation rate but 93% chronic absenteeism.
