Basha High School is a 2,826-student school serving grades 6–12 in Chandler, Arizona, and is part of Chandler Unified District #80. In 2025–2026, SchoolDigger ranked it 25th of 256 Arizona schools, at the 90th percentile with five stars. Its broad ELA and math results are strong, but the most important concern is 11th-grade science: Basha’s latest result was 22%, below the district and every nearby school with a reported score.

Basha’s overall ELA and math proficiency exceed state, district, and nearby-school averages. ELA proficiency was 76%, compared with 41% statewide, 58% in the district, and a 69% average among six nearby schools; math was 73%, versus 33% statewide, 51% in the district, and a nearby average of 67%. The strongest grade-level results are in grades 6–8: ELA ranged from 89% to 91%, and math from 80% to 89%. In 11th grade, however, ELA was 68% and math 65%, still above state results but well below Basha’s middle-grade scores. The science contrast is sharper: 11th-grade science was 15 points below the district’s 37%, only 3 points above the state’s 19%, and far below the nearby-school average of 51%.

Science results have moved in different directions by grade: 8th-grade science rose from 73% in 2022–2023 to 79% in 2024–2025, while 11th-grade science fell from 32% to 22% after reaching 42% in between.
