Open Quote Im sorry but I think Imagine Charter school falls short of any other school in Sierra Vista. They can't afford to buy books for the students, they can't keep any good teachers and the ones they have say discouraging things to the students. Their math teachers fall short of a lot of schools, the one they had last year was fired and the one they hired this year quit the first day of school and was replaced by a second grade teacher for the 7th and 8th grade classes. They only have 10 books for each class of 20 children and the math teacher is going back to doing 4th grade work, no wonder they had low scores on their state testing. So what do they do with the money they receive it isn't getting put towards the students Close Quote

Open Quote When my family and I first moved here I enrolled my children at the nearest public school, Pueblo Del Sol Elementary. I was glad to hear that P.D.S. is the top elementary school here in Sierra Vista. Sadly my experience there proved other wise. I felt very unwelcomed by the secretary, the teachers came off almost robotic, and I do not want to offend anybody on how I feel about the principal, Mr. Wilson I believe, so I will not comment about him. Imagine Charter School has lived up to my expectations and more, on what a school should be. Their great teachers and lovely staff, plus volunteer parents have shown great support in keeping Imagine a place where my children can live, laugh, and love. I reccomend parents to stop by for a tour and information. Their new location is at 1000 Wilcox Dr. Sierr Vista. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
