American Leadership Academy - Sierra Vista K-12

American Leadership Academy - Sierra Vista K-12 is an alternative school in Sierra Vista, Arizona, serving 704 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its 2025–26 results were slightly above Arizona in English Language Arts (ELA), with 43% proficiency compared with 41% statewide, but just below the state in mathematics, at 32% versus 33%. The most important takeaway is that the school outperformed nearby Berean Academy in both subjects, yet remained behind its own district.

Compared with Berean, the school had higher all-grades proficiency in ELA (43% versus 25%) and mathematics (32% versus 15%). Compared with the American Leadership Academy Inc. district, however, it was 8 points lower in ELA (43% versus 51%) and 10 points lower in math (32% versus 42%). ELA is the school’s stronger subject relative to both the state and district. Results also differ substantially by grade: 11th-grade ELA reached 58%, above both the state’s 38% and district’s 51%, while 4th-grade ELA was 34%, below the state’s 47% and district’s 61%. In math, 11th grade was 45%, above the state’s 31%, while 3rd- and 4th-grade results were well below district levels.

There is not enough information to tell whether results are improving or declining: the supplied scores cover only 2025–26. The 2024–25 student–teacher ratio was 8.9 students per teacher, compared with 15.3 at Berean, but that difference does not explain the test results. SchoolDigger’s rating is for the district, not this school: it ranks the district 100th of 267 Arizona districts, at the 63rd percentile, with 3 stars. Berean is the only nearby school in the supplied comparison, and school-level SchoolDigger ratings and free/reduced-lunch rates were not provided.
