The clearest low point is eighth-grade ELA, at 22% compared with 39% statewide, a 17-point gap; sixth- and seventh-grade ELA were also below state rates by 10 and 9 points. Williams High stands out in 11th-grade science, where 23% were proficient versus 19% statewide. The available school results do not establish which school performs better overall.
SchoolDigger’s rank history shows improvement for Williams Elementary/Middle: its percentile rose from 32 in 2023–24 to 48 in 2025–26. The high school’s latest listed percentile was 34 in 2024–25, 8 points below its 2021–22 result and 12 below its earlier peak of 46; SchoolDigger lists both schools at 2 stars. The high school has 192 fewer students and a student–teacher ratio of 14, compared with 18.3 at the elementary/middle school; its reported per-student spending was $694 higher. These context figures do not show what drives achievement, and the high school’s AASA results are suppressed while its science result is for a different grade than the elementary/middle school’s, limiting direct comparisons.
