Prescott Unified District

The seven schools in Prescott Unified District include four elementary schools, one middle school and two high schools, with a combined enrollment of 3,673 students. Across the six schools with reported 2025–26 results, average proficiency was 51% in English language arts (ELA), compared with 41% statewide, and 45% in math, compared with 33% statewide. The clearest takeaway is that the district’s average results are above state rates, but math performance varies widely among schools: reported rates range from 31% to 59%, and Prescott Mile High Middle School is the only school below the state math rate.

Abia Judd Elementary School and Taylor Hicks School lead the all-grades results: Abia has the highest ELA rate at 59%, while Taylor leads math at 59% and has 57% in ELA. Mile High has the lowest reported math rate, 31%, though its SchoolDigger ranking rose to the 65th percentile in 2025–26. Among high schools, Prescott High School reported an 89% graduation rate and 4% dropout rate, compared with 80% and 5% statewide. By contrast, Genesis Academy reported a 58% graduation rate and 23% dropout rate. The three reported science results also exceeded their matching state rates: 45% at Granite Mountain Upper Elementary School in fifth grade, 36% at Mile High in eighth grade and 27% at Prescott High in 11th grade.

SchoolDigger rankings generally moved upward over the three years reported: the average percentile for the six schools with a full history rose from 59 in 2023–24 to 67 in 2025–26. Mile High had the largest gain, 24 percentile points, while Abia Judd and Prescott High each rose 10 points; Granite Mountain fell 3 points over the period. School size and student–teacher ratios do not show a simple pattern with results: Taylor has 370 students and a 13.4:1 ratio, while Prescott High has 1,497 students and a 24.3:1 ratio; Lincoln has 275 students and 46% in both ELA and math. SchoolDigger percentiles describe rankings, not test-score rates; Genesis’s test scores and Mile High’s fifth-grade math score are suppressed, and free/reduced-lunch rates are unavailable.
