As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote I am an alumnus from Clements High School, and now attending University of Alabama in Huntsville. I moved to Clements in the 10th grade, and was in the Advanced Diploma program at Clements.

Clements is a high school ran by crowd favorites rather than qualified individuals. The administration allows the faculty to run wild. The majority of the high school faculty do NOT teach. Half of my classes, my classmates and I sat in our seats playing with cell phones and talking. The teachers that have tenure let the students do what they want for the class period. The teachers are required to take a grade every week and put it in the grade book. Every week, our only grade was if we brought our text book to class. That is going on in the classroom of a teacher that has his MA in Education, so much for American History. My senior English course was a joke. The teacher was to teach us how to write a research paper. He assigned a research paper due in 4 months. 2 pages minimum! When he got them back, he told us the majority were horrible and we were going to forget this happened. He scaled the grades from Fs and Ds to As and Bs, and said that was a waste of time and we won't spend anytime on something so bad. This teacher received his MA in Education as well.

Many more teachers are doing this same thing across the curriculum. Something must be done, but until there is a complete overhaul in administration and faculty, the problem will persist and only get worse. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
