Open Quote Not only does this school do an excellent job of educating my grandsons, but they are forever going above and beyond to make their experiences positive and productive. The fact that they are a Christian school appeals to my family because the teachers and staff assist us and raising up children with a moral compass that will help them make good decisions as they grow to and enter into adulthood. Open Quote The data on this school is not updated. The school once may have had this many students and teacher ratio but you will find this is totally inaccurate with some 20+ to one and an enrollment closer to 200 or so. We had two children in a 25 or so ratio. Read how many parents, us included, regret we ever heard of this school, by one person only! I wish there was a way in which parents could find out which students are currently even returning and if they were happy with this investment (many have paid the registration fees but won't be back from my understanding). Do what many of us wish we had done before paying for (it was four children for us) this investment! Know that the school is not accredited, meaning they are not monitored or reviewed academically. You will find, as many of us have, that your children will NOT be caught up with schools that offer stronger curriculums and electives! Go check out this school and then others and you will have your answer. Ask to see how much enrollment has decreased in writing over the past years. The middle school is so small it is a joke and the kids feel unprepared for HS. My son felt lost, alone, and way behind in HS. Also notice how reviews declined since 2010 when Donna Beaver took over as the "all-power" principal. It would be interesting to know why students and teachers turn-over during or after one the year, as well as why (including admin, nurses, coaches, teachers, volunteers, etc...). Ask about all the "stated electives and AP courses offered", as well as the exact number of students that have left over the past few years. That will throw the principal, Donna Beaver, if you ask to see the official records! You will find that turn-over and lack of electives is NOT normal! I would then compare this information to other private schools. However, This school should NOT even be compared to other schools online with inaccurate data. Will your children be ready for middle or high school down the road in an unaccredited "home school environment" school that may not even have their transcripts acknowledged? If your children transfer to a public school like ours did last year, they will be doing homework to catch up for hours! Besides just reading all the terribly true experiences, we should have considered these things to help decide if it was a good fit for our children. We wanted a positive reinforcement school that had a reputation that people have heard of and have happy children that aren't bullied and in exclusive cliques. Our children had nightmares from all the yelling and negative punishment (vs. positive, loving reinforcement)! Donna Beaver will make it sound like the best school ever until you go to her with a problem and then if you do, just know it is a waste of time. Everyone is afraid of her dictatorship style and rumor inspiring environment. If you have lots of money and time to put into the school, your children could be happy. Don't go by the incorrect data listed online, go ask to see numbers for yourself and pray your child gets one of the teachers that is there because they want to be, not just as a stepping stone to a better Christian School.
At least one of my children cried every week after school for bullying, all the yelling, demerits for the wrong socks, teacher favoritism, or being bored with school work. We were given very little feedback on our children's progression and then shocked when report cards came out! The parents pay $200 for books your children can't mark in (or are fined $100) or take home! Curriculums are constantly switched, as are the teachers. Pray for guidance before making this decision. Look beyond the verbal statements and inaccurate online stats! Close Quote

Open Quote The principal has poor leadership. She is unable to resolve conflict between staff or parents. Three teachers abruptly quit on her the last school year. Also the school is not accredited and many of the teachers are not certified.. Take your money and children else where! Close Quote
