Open Quote Much improved since opening. Athletic powerhouse but academics is improving as are behavioral concerns. Two of my children graduated one male and one female. Keep your eye on your goals and students do fine. Close Quote

Open Quote The school is new and looks great on the inside out. However there are to many students that don't realize that Education is so important. There are fights, jumping, and people going to school high off drugs. The school is also overcrowded. However the school test scores aren't bad. And have a good athletic program. However there are to many skippers

Open Quote I am currently a student at Henry Wise High School, and I came to here from private school as I am in 9th grade. The academies are horrible and I have not learned not a thing this 2008-2009 school year. The teachers are very arrogant and impolite. The teachers use profanity in the class room during instructional period and most of the teachers do not have a degree in the subject that they teach, therefore they remain clueless on what to do during instructional period. The building is nice but inside it can get dirty due to the fact that there are some people with nonchalant attitudes about there school. Henry Wise is very over-crowded and has a few fights this year. When there is a fight they put the whole school on a no pass day that could go on for weeks, during this period, no one is able to go the bathroom or anything during class. This is unfair to the people that want to learn an those who have bladder problems. The principal comes on the announcements and says, "there is a no pass day, teachers please do not issue passes unless it is an emergency which means bleeding or dying". Overall, I would not send your child to this school. Close Quote
