Open Quote Most of the teachers are wonderful. The parent groups are very active and extremely supportive of the school. The administration holds all of this back. Nothing can get done because the principal lacks vision, leadership, focus and the basic skills necessary to lead this promising school. This school has potential to become a very good fine arts school, but it would take dedication, vision and discipline and the administration lacks it, therefore cannot enforce it of it's own students.

Poor decisions are made to frequently. The principal attempts to hide this by alienating people and quite recently drove away one teacher, a good teacher.

At times there are fowl smells inside the hallways as if the garbage was left in a room overnight and the school itself is not being maintained properly with the exception of daily duties and parent donated labor including fundraisers.

I think if there was a turnover in leadership, there would be chance for Pritzker to emerge and become a success story, but absent the replacement of the administration, there is no chance for growth here. I think the poor marks based on rankings are pretty sad considering this school houses a gifted program.

I took my son to see another school and when we walked in and he saw the banisters he was excited because he didn't see any spit rolling down them. I suppose that is an issue, although I have never observed it myself but find it repulsive that this would excite my child. Close Quote
