Summary

Inlet Grove Community High School in Riviera Beach, FL, is a mid-sized high school serving 714 students in grades 9-12 within the Palm Beach district, where 59% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

This school stands out for its exceptional student support, boasting a near-perfect 100% graduation rate and a remarkably low chronic absenteeism rate of 16.8%—far better than nearby schools like William T. Dwyer High School (28.6%) and Palm Beach Gardens High School (30.8%). Inlet Grove also excels in U.S. History, with 90% of students proficient, matching the performance of elite magnet schools like Alexander W Dreyfoos Junior School Of The Arts (97%) and Suncoast Community High School (97%). However, its academic performance on standardized tests is mixed: while Biology proficiency (76%) meets district averages, Algebra 1 proficiency dropped to 44% in 2025-2026, and 10th-grade ELA scores (57%) lag behind the district (65%). This creates an "Inlet Grove Paradox"—the school is highly effective at keeping students engaged and on track to graduate, but faces challenges in pushing a high percentage to the "proficient" level on core subject tests.

Notably, Inlet Grove achieves these outcomes with efficient spending of $12,579 per student, less than nearby schools like Palm Beach Lakes High School ($14,040) and Suncoast ($14,480). The school's state ranking dropped from the 75th percentile (2024-2025) to the 61st percentile (2025-2026), a potential turning point that warrants monitoring. Located just 1.14 miles from Suncoast, Inlet Grove offers a supportive environment that contrasts sharply with the magnet school's elite academics, highlighting the diverse educational options available in Riviera Beach.

Open Quote Don’t send your child here. They will have your child in school all day knowing they have more credits than needed to graduate but to keep up they funding they make them stay. The principal is a nut job and harass students unnecessarily. I pulled my child out middle of his senior year and realized how much she was holding him back being that he is a straight A student she constantly harassed him and threatened him. Constantly tried to suspend him stupid things all
Other kids were doing like selling candy. I’ve had nothing but issues with this school. My son now has one class and working two jobs before he grad and off to military. He is still a straight A student and have no issues with this new school at all. It really make me wonder. The school is real ghetto. Save yourselves the trouble and find a better charter school Close Quote
