Summary

Sabin World School is a public elementary school serving 555 students in grades PK-5 in Denver, Colorado, which is part of the School District No. 1. The school generally outperforms the district and state averages on CMAS (Colorado Measures of Academic Success) tests, with a 5th grade science proficiency rate of 44.9% compared to the district's 34% and the state's 39%. Sabin World School also has a higher overall ELA proficiency rate of 48% compared to the district's 41.9% and the state's 44.8%.

Sabin World School has a diverse student population, with a significant percentage of Hispanic and low-socioeconomic status students. This is in contrast to some of the nearby schools, such as Denison Montessori School and Kaiser Elementary School, which have higher percentages of white and more affluent students. However, Sabin World School has had relatively high chronic absenteeism rates, ranging from 27.7% to 37.1% in recent years, which is an area of concern and an opportunity for improvement.

Despite the challenges, Sabin World School appears to be providing a solid educational experience for its diverse student population. The school's performance relative to the district and state, as well as the differences observed among the nearby schools, suggest that factors beyond just student demographics, such as school leadership, teaching quality, and resource allocation, may be contributing to the variations in academic outcomes in this community.

Open Quote Three of our children attend Sabin this year - this is our fourth year at the school. Our favorite thing about Sabin is the teachers! Every teacher each of our children has had has been wonderful. They are caring and creative to help each student learn in his or her own way at his or her level. They go beyond just what has to be done for their students. Close Quote

Open Quote I feel beyond fortunate that our children have been Sabin Stallions since Kindergarten. While we only live blocks away, I would gladly add a hour+ commute if we ever had to move. The staff and teachers are beyond committed to EVERY kiddos safety and academic success. The 1:1 technology provides all kids the ability to grown and adapt to our ever changing technology driven world. The International Baccalaureate profile (Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators,Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced,Reflective) is at the CORE of all the lesson planning and is evident in the responsible community members this school is molding for the future! I would highly recommend Sabin to anyone looking for a high quality elementary school. Close Quote
