Summary

John M. Horner Middle is a large, top-performing public school serving about 1,570 students in grades 6-8 within the high-achieving Fremont Unified School District, consistently ranking in the top 3-4% of all California middle schools for nearly a decade.

The school excels academically, with over 80% of students proficient in English and over 75% in Math, far exceeding state averages, and it achieves this success with remarkable efficiency, spending moderately per student while maintaining excellent student engagement, as shown by a very low chronic absenteeism rate of just 6.4%. Open Quote Excellent school. My three children have attended Horner, and they all got 4.0 GPA's. Horner Junior High School prepared them for high school. One of my children is now in college, and he is doing very well. If you are considering moving to Fremont, come to Horner, your children will thank you for giving them a sturdy educational foundation. Close Quote
