Summary

Oak Hill Elementary is a K-6 public school serving about 700 students in Antelope, California, and is part of the Center Joint Unified School District.

Within its own district, Oak Hill is a relatively strong performer, ranking higher in English, science, and overall standing than peers like Arthur S. Dudley Elementary and North Country Elementary. It also has a notable strength in student attendance, with a chronic absenteeism rate significantly lower than the district average and nearby schools such as Warren A. Allison Elementary. However, math proficiency is a challenge across all schools in the Center Joint Unified district, with Oak Hill's rate well below the state average.

When compared to schools in neighboring districts, a different picture emerges. Schools in the Dry Creek Joint Elementary district, like Olive Grove Elementary and Barrett Ranch Elementary, achieve substantially higher academic rankings. This suggests that district-level factors may influence performance, as Oak Hill's academic trajectory has declined over the past several years from a 3-star to a 2-star rating.
