Overall, Ronald Reagan Fundamental School's student performance on standardized tests is generally below the state and district averages. For example, in the 2024-2025 school year, the school's proficiency rates in English Language Arts and Mathematics were 32-46% and 23-32%, respectively, compared to the state averages of 36-46% and 29-42%. The school's performance is particularly low for certain student subgroups, such as English Language Learners and Migrant students, who rank in the bottom 20-30% of Arizona elementary schools. However, the school's White and Asian student subgroups perform relatively better, ranking in the top 20-30% of Arizona elementary schools.

Compared to nearby schools, Ronald Reagan Fundamental School generally performs worse on standardized tests, with lower proficiency rates in English Language Arts and Mathematics. One exception is Gowan Science Academy, a public charter school within the district, which consistently outperforms Ronald Reagan Fundamental School and the district as a whole, with proficiency rates 20-30 percentage points higher. Despite the higher per-student spending at Ronald Reagan Fundamental School compared to the state average, the school's performance remains below average, suggesting that factors beyond just funding may be contributing to the school's challenges.

Open Quote We love our school. Ronald Reagan has a staff that really cares for my children and will go above and beyond to be helpful. The principal called to check on the children as we were moving and wanted to offer any help in registering. When we finally showed up to enroll the kids, the office staff was more than accommodating and the principal took the time to meet with us, give us a tour and tell us about the school. The teachers have been very good at communicating about how our kids are behaving and doing academically. Close Quote

Open Quote Please do NOT send your kids to Ronald Reagan. This school is awful. The staff are very rude. The kids are not supervised like they should be. This is the worst experience we have ever had with a school. Bullying is a big issue in this school. Very much a lack of structure and discipline. Look elsewhere for a better education for your child. Close Quote
