Open Quote The second best Catholic High School for boys in NYC after Regis. 1,200-1,400 applicants apply each year for 250 seats. 99.5% go on to four year colleges. The school is very rigorous academically and coupled with an "old school" philosophy for discipline, a nationally recognized ROTC program, and an incredibly impressive alumni database that include a current US Supreme Court Justice, a New Jersey Mayor, a national television icon, and a president of a major beverage brand, there is no doubt that this recognized Blue Ribbon School for Excellence is still educating intellectually ambitious young men for over 160 years. About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
