Open Quote I have been with Compass for a decade, and am graduating this spring. I have stuck it out for so long because I understand the value of the education we have here! It is incredibly rigorous do not expect to have tons of free time. You can work, play sports, do extracurricular activities, etc. but don't expect it to be a) easy, or b) effortless. If you work hard at your studies, you will excel! I am graduating with a year (and a little more) of college under my belt, all from taking dual-credit classes on campus. I didn't have to go to any other CWI campus, or take online classes, and I still had the opportunity to take between 30 and 40 credits. Our school is very focused on preparing students not only for college, but also for adult life. The main focus of the high-school curriculum is worldview that is, how you see the world and the events that occur around you due to your unique perspectives, morals, values, etc. This is something I know I will be able to take with me long after college. All-in-all, I love this school. I have been here for ten years and wouldn't change a thing if I could. It has prepared me immensely for my future, and the relationships I have with my classmates and teachers are absolutely unmatched. Close Quote

Open Quote I've been a parent at Compass since 2009, and all 4 of my boys attend, two at the Elementary Campus and 2 at the secondary campus. I feel that this school is, by far, the best school in Idaho. Teachers ready do care about my children and want to see them succeed in life. I recommend Compass Middle/HS to any parent that wishes their child to be academically prepared for college. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
