Open Quote I have never met school officials that were less professional. I have donated over $1000 of items to this school without even a thank you. This included a piano for the music department and $200 cash for turkeys for less fortunate kids. I have yet to receive a verbal or written thank you. I am married to one of the teachers at the school and it feels like they looked at what I have done personally as a requirement of her teaching there. If I had to recommend a school in the area I would not recommend Lyn Knoll if the staff doesn't have respect enough to say thank you, I doubt they have the professionalism to teach children. Open Quote I've been here since my kindergarten year. I know everyone here. I moved away in 5th grade and now a rising student in 7th grade. I remember my favorite teachers including Mrs. Madory, Mrs. Kusek, and Mrs. Akins/Wallace. I don't know if they remember me but I remember them because they are the best of the best. I remember seeing Mrs. Kuseks son and I remember the first day Mrs. Akins/Wallace came back from just being married. I love this school and I'll make sure to visit sometime. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
