Summary

Forest Vista Elementary in Flower Mound, TX, is a high-performing school within the Lewisville Independent School District (Isd), serving 557 students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. This school consistently ranks among the top 5% of all elementary schools in Texas, earning a 96th percentile statewide ranking for the 2025-2026 school year. With a favorable student-teacher ratio of 12.3:1 and per-student spending slightly above the district average, Forest Vista provides a supportive learning environment that has shown steady improvement over the past decade.

What truly sets Forest Vista apart is its exceptional performance for all students, particularly in Special Education, where it ranks in the 98th percentile statewide. This is a remarkable achievement compared to nearby schools like Parkway Elementary and Degan Elementary, which rank much lower overall. Forest Vista also excels in Science, with 74% of 5th graders proficient compared to just 40% district-wide and 30% statewide. While Bluebonnet Elementary ranks slightly higher overall (98th percentile), Forest Vista achieves its elite results with a more diverse student body and lower student-teacher ratios, demonstrating that targeted investment in smaller classes and student support can yield outstanding outcomes.

One area to watch is the recent dip in performance for students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, which dropped to the 69th percentile in 2025-2026 after two years of much higher rankings. This could be a statistical anomaly, but it's worth monitoring. Overall, Forest Vista is a consistently excellent choice for families seeking a school with strong academics, exceptional support for Special Education, and a proven track record of improvement. Its steady climb from the 86th percentile a decade ago to its current elite status reflects strong leadership and effective instructional strategies that benefit all students.

Open Quote This school has steadily declined in recent years. The administration does NOT set a good example of how to lead and treat other people. They run the place like a prison camp and the assistant principal behaves like a prison warden. There are many other high quality elementary schools nearby. I recommend choosing one of those instead of FVE. Close Quote
