Summary

Antonia Pantoja Community Charter School is an elementary school serving 710 students in grades K-8 in Philadelphia, PA. The school has consistently ranked in the bottom 20% of Pennsylvania elementary schools over the past 10 years, with a 1-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Antonia Pantoja's academic performance is significantly below state averages across all grades and subjects, especially in Math. In 2024-2025, only 15.4% of students were proficient or better in Math compared to the state average of 41.7%. The school's English Language Arts proficiency is slightly better but still lags the state. Antonia Pantoja's performance has declined over time, with proficiency rates dropping from 2020-2021 to 2024-2025 in both Math and ELA. The school's English Language Learners and students with disabilities rank in the bottom 30-35% of Pennsylvania schools in those subgroups, and its low-income students also perform poorly.

While Antonia Pantoja Community Charter School spends significantly more per student ($16,792 - $22,687) compared to the nearby Philadelphia City School District schools ($17,458 - $24,863), it has a higher student-teacher ratio. The nearby district schools generally perform better than Antonia Pantoja on academic metrics, though they also serve high-poverty student populations. This raises questions about the efficiency and effectiveness of how the charter school is allocating its resources to address the significant socioeconomic challenges faced by its students.

Open Quote I would like to inquire about the parking and child pick up ,policy at this school..Both sides of American street there are cars all over the place double triple parked children crossing the street in between cars this is ridiculous. This is a tragedy in the making a child will be hurt it is only a matter of time you have parents making u turns in the middle of the street. I noticed on the school side of the street there are signs that say school bus parking only this is completely ignored am wondering what is going to be done to fix this situation..i am speaking about the antonia pantoja charter school 4101 american st...thank you Close Quote
