Open Quote HELLO JUST WANTED TO SHED SOME INSIGHT ABOUT MY THOUGHTS OF KENNEDY CHARTER----
MY SON ATTENDED KENNEDY CHARTER FOR THE LAST 2 1\2 YEARS AND THE REASON HE HAD TO ATTEND WAS BECAUSE HE WAS HAVING WAY TOO MANY PROBLEMS IN PUBLIC SCHOOL. WELL AT LEAST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE SCHOOLS. COME TO FIND OUT AS WE ALL FIND OUT SOMETIMES IT CAN JUST BE OUR CHILDREN AND THEIR ABILITY TO STAY FOCUSED AND CONCENTRATE---WHICH IS AND HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR HIM (MY SON)--BUT MY EXPERIENCE WHEN IT CAME TO KENNEDY CHARTER WASN'T MUCH DIFFERENT AS FAR AS MY CHILD BUT WITH THE STAFF. THEY WERE ALL GREAT. I RECEIVED CALLS WHEN I WAS SUPPOSED TO AND I SPOKE ON THE REGULAR WITH MR. STUBBS IN REFRENCE TO ANY AND EVERYTHING THAT I NEEDED WHEN THINGS TOOK PLACE IN REFRENCE TO MY SON. NOT ONLY THE PRINCIPAL BUT ALL OF HIS TEACHERS AS WELL AS THE GUIDENCE COUNSELORS, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, ALL STAFF THT I NEEDED TO TALK WITH OR SPEAK WITH. YES IT HAS BEEN A DEFINATE STRUGGLE BUT: AS OF JUNE 14TH MY SON WILL BE GRADUATING, AND I HAVE MORE TO THANK THEN JUST GOD AND MYSELF, I ALSO HAVE THE STAFF TO THANK AS WELL AS MY MOTHER SHE WAS A PRAYING WOMEN. I DON'T THINK HE WOULD HAVE MADE IT IF HE DIDN'T HAVE THE DRIVE AND AMBITION AS WELL AS HELP AND CARING THAT HE RECEIVED FROM HIS TEACHERS AND ALL THE STAFF ALONG WITH HIS FAMILY---SO ALL OF THIS TO SAY THANK YOU TO THE STAFF AT KENNEDY CHARTER WHO HAS HELPED WITH MICHAEL D. I APPRECIATE YOU ALL AND AM TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE MET SUCH GREAT STAFF.

THANK YOU AGAIN

Open Quote Kennedy Charter School, located in Charlotte, NC, is a home school community. The main attraction for us initially was the small class sizes and friendly staff. My daughter attended a large public middle school. She was lost, a minnow in a shark tank! Expected to be an independent student with little help from staff due to overcrowded classrooms, she coped at best by shutting down into daydreaming mode. Her grades didn't reflect what she was capable of achieving. The staff expected every student to have the same level of independence and maturity. Afraid to send my daughter to a high school four times the size of her middle school, Kennedy Charter was my first and only choice for her to finish high school. 9th graders attended "Summer Bridge" for six weeks. This awesome program introduces students to the school as well as taking students on field trips to local colleges. My child has completed a successful year at Kennedy Charter, making the A/B Honor roll for the first time ever. I'm grateful to staff and students working with my child's special needs and talent development. She's matured socially, academically and LIKES SCHOOL as she now prepares for tenth grade.
