Open Quote My child has been going to this school this year and it’s absolutely terrible! I would highly suggest anyone thinking of going to this school to run fast. Close Quote

Open Quote A real hellscape of the worst kind. Kids enact organized violence on each other and regular hazing of teachers that continues with little consequence. Principal and AP are unaccountable and unsupportive, even perpetuating the bullying tone of the school in many cases. Many great teachers here who are almost uniformly frustrated that they don't get to the real content in class a lot of the time because of all the extreme behaviors of truly disturbed and damaged students who are not getting the help they need from counseling and other staff. EBD kids are piled into regular classrooms with no support and there are super high student rosters, often exceeding 35 kids in a class. Don't send your kids here. Don't work here. Close Quote

Open Quote Superb teachers. A school with diversity and choice. My 2 children were fully challenged and were able to help other students who needed assistance. Now in High school, both of my children score in the 95% or higher in national exams.

The overall test scores for Anwatin are deceiving. The statistics don't fully adjust for students with severe disabilities. When kids are compared with children from similar backgrounds, Anwatin students do very well.

Sadly, fear keeps many people from taking a serious look at this wonderful school. Some parents are scared by a school that seems different to the one they went to when they were in middle school. My answer is come in and talk to the teachers, pupils and parents. Try choosing a school that prepares children for the diverse and wonderful world they will encounter. Close Quote

Open Quote I'm going into the 8th grade at Anwatin and LOVE it there. Anwatin offers so much and you learn things you never thought you could. I tell my friends all the time to come and join me at Anwatin because it's that great. Spanish, French, Japanese, excellent sport teams (two completely undefeated teams), 6th, 7th and 8th grade band even Jazz band (who's concerts are always packed), Fun before and after school clubs and classes. Anwatin even has an IB program that helps you learn the importance of a strong community and how much it pays off to be a good person. You can really begin to find your place in the world at Anwatin.
