St Joseph Catholic School

My experience at St Joseph's as a parent, parishioner, and volunteer has been nothing short of life-changing. Everyone at this school and church is so welcoming and comforting it is truly a blessing to behold. Our family was engulfed by kindness the minute we stepped on campus. My daughter has called St. Joe's her 2nd home for the past 7 years. The teachers, staff, assistants, and administration are extremely attentive and dedicated. They treat each child and family with individuality and are always available to help. The curriculum and technology are far beyond what is being taught in the public school system and the faith-based learning is PRICELESS. The graduates from St. Joseph's are far beyond ready for the challenges of high school and the world.

We have had children at St. Joseph Catholic School for more than ten years. We have been extremely pleased with all aspects of our experience. The culture and mission of the school is truly Christ-centered; the staff and administration are well-qualified, caring individuals; and the families here are top-notch. Our children who have graduated from St. Joseph have gone on to high achievements in high school. Our remaining child is excited to start the new school year. Throughout our years here, the teachers and administration have cared deeply for our children and have been available and supportive in any situation that has arisen.

This is a great school! The staff and administration are innovative and always looking for ways to improve teaching methods. I've never worked with a school that supports each other and families as much as St. Joseph's. They truly care about the students and molding their character to be Christ-like.

All of our children have attended or do attend St. Joseph Catholic School, and as parents we feel we have chosen wisely for a true Christian-centered education. Our children are part of a school family and have developed life-long friendships. The teachers and staff truly care about the overall well-being of the students, not just the educational components. Our children who have graduated remind us often of how well prepared they were for higher education in both knowledge and character. We are thankful for having the opportunity to send our children to St. Joseph Catholic School.

I am very proud to teach at St. Joseph School. The staff and principal are supportive and knowledgeable in best educational practices. The families of my students are also supportive and caring. This shows in the academic progress of my students. The students are hard workers both in the classroom and in helping the community. We are a Christ-centered institution that strives to help all students become the best people that they can possibly be.

St. Joseph Catholic School is an excellent example of a school that embodies high academic standards with a "family" atmosphere. I have taught at St. Joseph for seven years, the faculty and administration work together to enrich the lives of each our students both spiritually and academically. Our students thrive in the welcoming atmosphere which enables them to concentrate on their studies. Our principle Mrs. Potter has the students involved in many community projects which brings them together for the good of others.

It has been my privilege and blessing to be a teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School for more than 20 years. I can attest that the teachers are dedicated to the overall wellbeing and growth of their students in all areas-spiritually, physically, academically, socially, and emotionally. Both of my children graduated from St. Joe's having received excellent character-building, moral, and academic preparedness for high school. The strong foundation laid at St. Joe's became evident when they entered the International Baccalaureate Program in high school, where they shone. Both went on to receive their master's degrees and are well-employed. Come visit our campus to see for yourself!

My son was bullied at this school, and the prinipal did nothing after several reports from me and other parents. We were treated horribly after trying to reach out to the superintendant. This school does not follow their mission statement, they are not true christians. Beware of office politics, there are only three people you can complain to, the principal, the priest and the superintendant, they all look out for each other, not the children!

My son has attended St. Joseph school for the past 2 years in their pre-kindergarten program. He has learned more in the beginning years than I would ever have imagined. Ms. O'Shea and Ms. Hodges are excellent teachers and I cannot wait for my second to attend. I love the fact that the pre-k goes to specials just like the big kids (Spanish, library, PE). I think that the administration and teachers truly care for the students in offering their time after school to help. I would definitely send my child.

My children have attended Saint Joseph School from Pre-K through graduation. This school is the best mix of 21st century educational practices with a Christ-centered learning environment, rich in the traditions of the Catholic church. Its teachers are kind, innovative, and willing to go above and beyond to meet their students' needs. The administration led for over 15 years by Sr. Christine Patrick, then for over 7 years by Robert Siccone, and now by Principal Kellie Potter continues to be true to the mission of the school and makes every effort to assist families in making Catholic education a reality for their children. The school is loving but strict, and maintains a high standard of academic achievement, citizenship for its students. The school and families work together in the best interest of the students.

My children are now in high school and college. Because of the firm foundation they recieved at Saint Joseph they have excelled in their academic and social environments. This was the best investment I have ever made, and I would recommend this school to anyone who is serious about the school's three key areas: Curriculum, character, and Christ. They will be celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2014--making them the longest running private school in Manatee County--they are definitely doing something, if not many things right!

My son attended Saint Joseph Catholic School for 9 years. When he left the school he was more than ready for High School and I believe because of the school, was ready to begin a new chapter in his life. The school gave him good Christian morals which is the reason why I chose Saint Joseph Catholic School for him.

To see him grow from Kindergarten to 8th grade was remarkable and he is quite a young man thanks to Saint Joseph Catholic School.

I recommend Saint Joseph Catholic School to everyone who wants their child(ren)to grow up with the love of God in their hearts, an education greater than any other private or public school, and a thirst for knowledge!

My children have attended Saint Joseph Catholic School since Kindergarten and are now in middle school. I could not have been happier with our choice of schools. The teachers offer a good balance of nurturing and personal attention on academics. The school truly has a wonderful handle on staying up with the age of technology and incorporating that into academics. The sense of service my children have learned and learning their Catholic faith is priceless.

Thank you St. Joe's for instilling the foundation that our children will use for the rest of their lives.

I can't begin to tell you how happy we are that we found such a wonderful school. My two children can't wait to get to school each day. The teachers are caring and have a grasp of current educational methods.
