Open Quote Our experience was great until this year. Our son entered 3rd grade and had a teacher that really pushed us to test our son for ADD. Not because he was badly behaved or was failing, but because he had a hard time focusing at times which could get in his way someday. Not enough reason for me to test and/or label him. In addition, the teacher made it her mission to find ways to convince me to take her advice by disecting my child's every move. Also, she was highly belittling to me as well! And negative. For example, I had received my sons mid term report which was ok, but one area he needed to work on. The teacher told me that there would be more tests and I responded by saying,"Great, he has some time to bump that grade up," she responded by saying,"Or time to go down." These are the types of comments I deal with every time I have a conversation with her. We are moving, thank goodness, because I was seriously considering homeschooling. However, Seapark as a whole is fantastic and my experience with this one teacher and her intern who is highly negative as well is not all encompassing regarding how I feel about the whole school.
