This school stands out as a true academic powerhouse in its area, dramatically outperforming its closest neighbors. A. Metcalfe Elementary School, and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Elementary School—all rank in the 1st or 2nd percentile. Math is a particular strength, with 5th graders achieving an 83% proficiency rate, which is 29 percentage points above the state average and the highest among all nearby schools. The school has also shown impressive year-over-year growth, climbing from the 24th percentile in 2018-2019 to its current 4-star rating, a turnaround that contrasts sharply with schools like Joseph Williams, which dropped from the 34th to the 1st percentile over a similar period.

What makes this success even more noteworthy is the school's efficiency and strong attendance. Caring & Sharing spends just $8,582 per student—the lowest among nearby schools with available data—while achieving results that rival or exceed charter competitors like Boulware Springs Charter (75th percentile) and Expressions Learning Arts Academy (66th percentile). Additionally, its chronic absenteeism rate of 23.9% is significantly lower than the district average of 31.6% and far better than nearby schools like Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (62.6%) and W. A. Metcalfe (53.3%). While the school has a higher student-teacher ratio of 20.5, its strong academic results show that effective instruction and targeted interventions can overcome larger class sizes, making it a standout choice for families in the area.

Open Quote Top notch family school that provides the student every possible opportunity to be successful. The student has before school and after school interventions, tutoring, intensive interventions for math and reading, and after school programs for academic and physical activity. Throughout the course of the school year the students are exposed to education based field trips including scientific experiments at the local Cade museum, inventor of Gator Aide. Close Quote
