Open Quote I was surprised to find this school not live up to what it claimed it would do for its students. Perhaps back when it began its good intentions and promises made to parents were kept. However, some of the staff are not so friendly and the promises made at the start of the school year were not met at all. We were looking for a more personalized education for our child and paid the tuition with the belief our expectations would be met. Public school looks good after this experience. Close Quote

Open Quote I am not sure who reads these posts but when I read the negative review I felt compelled to share my experience. My son spent ten years at ECDS and is now excelling at The Hopkins School. He received a first rate education in a warm an nurturing environment. He still comes back once a week to engage in an ongoing dialog about the "purpose of education" with the head of the high school. The first thing he notices each time he comes back is how safe and welcomed he feels at ECDS. The importance of that feeling to learning should not be underestimated, in my opinion. At ECDS, fostering a love of learning is the top priority exactly as it should be. For the people who have expressed dissatisfaction I can only think they did not make the effort to work with the administration to solve the problems that came up, or they are under the false impression that there is such a thing as a perfect school where there are no problems and everyone gets along all the time. Open Quote We would like to say thank you to ECDS! Our son is so happy now, actually gets up ahead of us. The kids are nice, the teachers are excellent and friendly, the curriculum interesting and challenging. (Nice physical plant as well.) We are so glad we found it! Close Quote

Open Quote I visited this school recently, and found it to be a very unique and loving environment for children. They have the ability to provide many things for children, such as programming for children with gifted tendencies, programming for special interests (music, science, business, etc.). I am especially impressed with the diversity of the school environment, which most private schools in the area do not provide. The children are taught to be respectful and supportive of each other, which was clearly evident when I saw the children interacting in the halls between class periods.

Kindness, consideration, and respect is something you rarely find in a school environment. I highly recommend Easton Country Day School. Close Quote

Open Quote I unfortunately sent my son here for the 2011-2012 school year. I had heard such great things in the past and the director seemed so warm and genuine. We left our public school and took a leap of faith, what a mistake. My son has regressed in his education to the point that I have had to hire tutors so he will be on the same level of his peers next year this on top of what I payed in tuition. The peer group consisted of kids with varied levels of disabilities (mostly on the spectrum) or kids that are on scholarship but completely undeserving of it. The director is either oblivious or unconcerned with how far this ship has sunk. My advise is to do your research, sit in a few classes and make an educated decision. Close Quote
