Zion Lutheran prides itself in being in the top 11% NATIONALLY in academic testing. They do not utilize a single state only standardized academic test, but utilizes the Iowa Basic Skills Testing that compares them on a NATIONAL level.

While the public school system continues to cut programs, Zion Lutheran has added more elective classes (I.E. Cooking, Digital Photography, Music Theory). They continue to offer one of the best Art programs in the area.

They offer sports programs in a competitive Christian Schools sports league.

The teachers and staff pride themselves on teaching good moral and ethical behavior in a Christian Learning environment.
