I have experience teaching at ECA from August 2016 until January 2, 2017. I retired from teaching in public schools with an elementary education degree and a Masters in Learning Disabilities. I was dismayed to learn how the focus is more on finishing the curriculum, rather than on student learning. There are some dedicated people who supervise the curriculum ( no certified educators), but no knowledge of using differentiated instruction. They do not allow modifications or accomodations for students who are not achieving on grade level. If you are a parent who wants their child in a Christian school environment which uses a "script' ( the administrator said when I was hired, 'It almost tells you when to smile", and does not require any post-high school education (including the principal), thenECA is the place for you.
