Like any place there’s good a bad, people pick sides people judge off of emotions and create these associations. I love that place meet some of the most intelligent down to earth people such as mr.comaris he truly makes connections with kids he doesn’t play favorites he treats each kid equal. I had teachers form opinions about me from other words from lying students I’ve had them tell me be “realistic” but follow your dreams. A lot of the stuff subconsciously puts the life Faults and frustrations on certain students and as I’ve grown older I realized they voiced opinions that you shouldn’t voice to a child because you think they don’t understand what your saying to this fullest extent. I’ve had teachers read my grades out to 38 students before after voicing out I’ve had problems with anxiety but hey ignorance is bliss. Don’t even get me started on the fact we had no paper 2 out of the 4 years I went and you could taste the iron in the water but you can’t blame the teachers on a lack of funding when other schools have lake side views in there libraries. I just wish some teachers didn’t have egos bigger than the dead space between there ears. They never understood they only knew what I wanted them to know and always gave surface level answers and called it a day. Mr. comrais is the only teacher that believes in education before a grade not because a student is lazy and doesn’t do there work but will recognize intelligence when he sees it and doesn’t succumb to the ridiculous and out dated district standards I’m sorry but I can’t take a place seriously when you can’t even provide paper. Priorities are a strange thing in that building. Close Quote

Audubon HS is a very diverse school, and the culture there is such that the students are all very respectful of their teachers and each other. The school is open to collaborating with other organizations, and the teachers and staff are excellent. I can't say enough about Audubon High. One teacher who really shines there is Marvin Williams. I am very impressed with the work of the student body there, especially since sometimes students from their income level have a hard time achieving in schools. Audubon seems to get past the barriers that those students face, and engage them in really valuable education that they can take with them in their lives moving forward. Close Quote
