As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My daughter went to challenger for kindergarten and had an amazing year no issues and they loved my daughter and she took pride in school and loved it. They switched her to horizon elementary school for years 1 and 2 and they have been a complete nightmare. My daughter is constantly bullied and struck by other children. We have tried working with this school for two years now with no results. We filled a variance last year to go back to challenger they denied it due to capacity, even though challenger had 150 less students then horizon. It has gotten worse they put my daughter in special ed because she has a.d.d. I was just in school 12 years ago those services are for children that need it. Autistic, learning disabilities but a.d.d? She is seven years old these people are more concerned about protecting themselves then listening to my daughter she constantly tries to tell them and now they are saying my daughter is a liar today she was pushed down the slide, the principal told why... she held up the line but they didn't see another kid touching her bottom or the other incidents of her being hit, soccer balls thrown at her face, and just plain bullying. The principal threatened to call the police because my daughter is crying telling me someone did this and no one believes her and I am sick and tired of this school. The principal threatened me with the police because I asked her " so you know someone pushed her down the slide but you are sitting here calling my daughter a liar? The principal is a bully with no care for the well being of you're child. If you're child is unfortunate enough to not fit in with the 70 hispanic student body and gets bullied you are in for a massive ride because these people care more about Covering their jobs then they do about listening to a child who is constantly being bullied. I am done dealing with this I have a perfectly clean criminal record and will not be treated like a second class citizen nor let me daughter be struck everyday anymore. The principal is using the police to silence questions is disgusting. When you have a principal telling you you're child was pushed?? when I talked to my daughter she didn't even realize the kids were trying to go down and they just act like it's nothing? Anytime my daughter has the slightest issue these people brush it off but god forbid she does anything they are out for blood. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
