As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Quest program at Blackwell is the best. Mr. Egawa and Ms. Chen are excellent teachers. First grade teachers team is second to none and very well attentive to each and individual student needs. The music program at Blackwell is very well organized. Parent volunteer and participation of PSTA is excellent. Close Quote

Open Quote I went to Elizabeth Blackwell from 4th through 6th. It was a great school and it may have been to the best school I went to. The only problem was the food was expensive and it was never very good so I just brought lunch to school. It feeds into Inglewood Junior High that will be Inglewood Middle School as the school district is moving 6th grade up to middle school and 9th grade up to high school. After Inglewood students go to Eastlake whigh is becoming a 4 year high school because 9th grade is going to Eastlake High School. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
