As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote the school is great and the teachers are to when you get to the English and History teachers they can get mean. Close Quote

Open Quote Often teachers and staff provide poor supervision for students. This leads to discipline problems. Principal Kokx does not treat students equally, makes decisions about students that are not based on facts, and there is no effective review process for her decisions.
The athletics and music departments are outstanding. Many of the teachers are excellent. Close Quote

Open Quote Some of the teachers are great. They respect the students, and the students feel comfortable around them. But most other teachers make the students feel uncomfortable. They explain in a way that most students don't understand. The students prefer not asking questions because they are scared of the teacher. The new principal is also another problem. Most of the students don't like or respect the principal. Close Quote

Open Quote They use a disciplinary system from the 40's the only thing missing is the dunce caps. This is the STEP System and requires our kids to stand in a corner when ever the teacher says to. Students are required to sit still not speak or ask questions. How is this teaching? It's a lazy teaching method. If student don't ask questions and can't interact with the lessons being taught, how is that effective teaching and what kind of a learning environment is that? I can't wait until my child is done at this school. I would recommend to all parents that don't have a choice, and have to enroll their kids at this school. Hold the teachers accountable and make them write an explanation of why they are putting your child in step. This is the only way these teachers will control the urge to put your child in step on a whim. They sure don't want to do any additional work and will think twice before placing your child in this STEP. Good luck and I hope your children come out of this experience unscathed Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
