Summary

Olympic High School is a public high school serving grades 9-12 for about 1,160 students in Bremerton, Washington, and is part of the Central Kitsap School District, a 4-star district ranked in the top third in the state.

The school's greatest strength is its outstanding graduation rate of over 92%, which is the highest among traditional high schools in its immediate area and a key reason its state ranking has improved significantly over the last three years. Academically, the school excels in English Language Arts, where student proficiency is well above the state average and leads other schools in its district like Central Kitsap High School and Klahowya Secondary. However, math proficiency is a notable challenge, falling below both the district and state averages.

Olympic High serves its Hispanic student population particularly well, with their performance ranking above the school's overall average. The school achieves its strong graduation rate and improving status while serving a student body with a moderate level of economic need, similar to South Kitsap High School, and does so with lower per-student spending than some neighboring schools like Bremerton High School. Critical areas for growth include improving math scores and ensuring better academic outcomes for specific student groups, including Multi-racial and Special Education students.
