As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote Worst school you can imagine dealing with. I have 3 children Ages 8, 6, & 5 and this school has teachers who are inconsistent and a principal/assistant principal that could careless to respond to the parents. We were having behavioral issues with our youngest and her teacher kept threatening to kick her out so we tried to meet with the principal 5 times and she never responded to any of our e-mail, phone calls, or messages personally hand delivered to the office. Not only that but, our kindergartener was told 2 times that he did not need a parent teacher conference because "he was making sufficient progress & the teacher was not concerned." Come to find out 2 weeks before school was to be out for the summer she says, "Your son is not making progress equivalent to K5 standards." WHAT? I wrote all over his progress report about how we were never notified and we were told this 2 weeks before school lets out?! THEN....this is the worst, our 8 year old came home with at least 2 spelling words MISPELLED that he had to learn for his weekly spelling test. These are words that she typed out and should have seen with spellcheck that it was not correct. Not only that, but one week a spelling word was "dumb"?? This is absolutely the worst school in Culpeper. Luckily we got our kids out for this coming school year and will never suggest this school to anyone. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
