Open Quote Best school! Helped me be prepared for the real world and be able to keep an excellent work ethic as I have gotten older. 10 out of 10 would recommend to others. Close Quote

Open Quote On the surface the school seems amazing. Dig a little deeper and you discover that a good percentage of the middle school teachers aren't endorsed for the classes they are teaching. You find that they give As in math, and then hold students back a year in math without informing the parents. You find that teachers and administrators blame an elementary aged child for not performing well, instead of looking at themselves. You find that middle school students don't always get the electives they want, even though there are only about 50 middle school students divided among 3 grades. Basically, it looks good on the surface, but you never actually know everything that is happening under the surface because they hide it very well, even from the state. Close Quote

Open Quote My children have attended this school since it opened and we have been VERY happy here. The director is wonderful--she knows each of the students' names and is an excellent leader. We love the ability based learning groups that help each child no matter if they are gifted or struggling in a particular subject. I would highly recommend this charter school. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
