Open Quote I am thankfully for all of the 8th grade teachers EXCEPT the Spanish instructor and Mr. Pollock! Because of these two, my child is having a very difficult time for the FIRST time since entering school in pre-k.

I think it is a shame that after FOUR meetings, and the instructor set up two herself which she was a no-show. Yes, No Call/No Show! She claimed the first meeting was at 2, but it was to be after school. The second appt. Was after school also, but she didn't call to inform me that she had an "emergency". Though she was there when I arrived, she quickly took off. Her "emergency" - a flat tire! She had called me twice to make the appt. but couldn't call to reschedule?

To top that off, we scheduled a third appt. The day of the appt all of my child's teachers showed EXCEPT the Spanish instructor! She claimed she WOULD NOT attend with out a "Representative" with her. Why now?

EVERYONE of my child's teachers were SHOCKED and SURPRISED to find out what this other instructor was claiming! One teacher said she swore it was a mistake, that they got the wrong child's name - it could NOT be this child! Mr. Pollock heard all of this, how the only thing that the other teachers said was that my child needed to be redirected occasionally for talking - how many 14 year old don't have to be?

I told Mr. Pollock that I would make an appointment with the superintendent and he told me that the super couldn't make her come to a meeting either.

He stated that if all the teachers said the same thing as the Spanish instructor, he would understand, BUT - since it was only her having this issue, he would speak with her and get back with me.

We, Mr. Pollock, Geer and myself, met the following week. What shocked me was how Mr. Pollock's attitude had changed - FOR THE WORSE!!! He was blaming my child and the nurse and counselor for all the problems. The nurse and counselor were the ONLY two that would help or even listen to my child!

This Spanish instructor has picked on many children from what I've been finding out. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for student on student bullying. What about when it is a TEACHER (picking on constantly) a student? That too is bullying - and apparently that is acceptable at Twain!

Mr. Pollock informed me at the last meeting that he was going to talk with the counselor and nurse. That was TOTALLY WRONG OF HIM!!! Please think twice before enrolling your child here! I will NOT allow my child to be subjected to emotional, verbal and mental abuse! And that is what is happening to my child now!

After that meeting, my child told me, "Mom, I no longer have any respect for Mr. Pollock at all!". Sadly, I TOTALLY AGREE! That's the first time she has EVER said that about anyone aside from her Spanish instructor! Close Quote
